FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be as specific as you can about what you need or hope to achieve at the beginning of any creative project, and expect specific answers in return. Creatives are usually pretty good at filling in the gaps, but the better you understand and communicate your vision, the better a graphic artist or writer can capture it. Do ask for a general idea of how they intend to attack the project and what you can expect (and when!) and get an estimate before work begins. Do NOT be mesmerized by an empty barrage of artsy buzzwords and bizblab – it may sound impressive but it's often a smokescreen. A creative professional should be more focused on achieving YOUR objectives than on winning a contract (or self-congratulatory art awards) for themselves.
