Mr. Pierce contacted me on two occasions, once late last year, which he never followed through with an appointment. In 2014, he contacted me again to come out to his house, at his convenience, which I honored. An appointment was set at 5 pm, for which Mr. Pierce was late and had to leave later for a softball game. I spent time with his wife, who knew exactly what the nature and scope of the modifications that were needed for her daughter. I prepared a detailed, scaled diagram and a comprehensive quote in a timely manner and Mr. Pierce procrastinated in reviewing the quote and posing any questions. When I finally was able to contact him, he continued to postpone any decision. I told him I would contact him in several weeks, which I did. After nearly a month from my original proposal, he now tells me that he is seeking "foundation" money to fund the project. At no time did he ever mention an outside source of funding. I have dealt with numerous families with disabled children, adults and seniors and in most cases, these families will do anything with reason to get the modifications necessary to help their family members. I offered financing options, but with no interest. Mr. Pierce needs to get his priorities straight and concentrate on helping his daughter and forget his softball games and any other leisure activities that he feels is necessary to his well being.
