Gwinnett Pet Watchers
We love your pets like our own.

Gwinnet Pet Watchers (GPW) is a full service pet care provider operating in the Gwinnett County/North Atlanta area. GPW prides themselves on being a loving, nurturing and caring alternative to pet boarding facilities and pet daycares. GPW offers a host of services to meet their client™s needs from quick potty breaks to 24-hour pet sitting care.
Some of the Services We Offer:
30 or 60 minute Pet Sitting
Overnight Sitting
30 or 60 minute Dog Walking
Potty Breaks
Basic Obedience Training
We understand that life and the needs of our pets can be unpredictable and we do our best to be flexible and work with our client's needs. We listen to our clients and create new services and service packages based upon the needs that have been expressed. We started offering our 10 minute potty breaks, when several clients indicated a need to have their dogs let out to take care of business midday. Understanding that a full dog walk was not necessary, we created a new service to cater specifically to this need.
Why Do Clients Choose Gwinnett Pet Watchers?
Caring & Trained Staff
Our team of pet sitters and dog walkers go through a rigorous internal training program and Pet First Aid training. Our training program not only goes over internal protocols and procedures, but also instructs the trainee through our 25-point checklist for pet visits. Trainees also shadow veteran GPW staff members on pet visits to learn first hand what our clients and we expect from them. When selecting candidates during our interview process, we look far beyond just a love for animals, but a desire to connect with an animal and it's owner.
Safety & Security Protocols
When you hire a pet sitter, you want to know that your house key, security codes and personal information are in safe hands. We use a state of the art coded key system for our sitters to check your house key out and return after their visits. You can rest assured that your key is never taped to a file folder with all of your personal information and sitting on the front seat of someone'™s car! Our staff has protocols they must follow to ensure that your private information stays private. GPW is bonded and insured and all of our staff have under gone criminal background checks.
Text Message Updates
After visits our sitters send you a text message letting you know how your pet is doing. Sometimes these messages include photos, a funny statement about something they did and general updates. Clients™ love getting these updates; it also serves as a confirmation that a visit transpired and their pet is doing well.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. we are a full-service pet care provider. we provide everything from potty breaks to dog walks for client to work long hours and have busy days to a complete line of services for clients who travel for business or pleasure. We have several different types of overnight services one is actually 24 seven, we actually come and move into your home and stay with your pet on to you come back from your trip. Giving you the peace of mind that not only are your pets being taking care of but so is your home.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. when looking for a pet sitter I suggest that you interview several this is a very personal decision and the person has to fit not only with your family but also with your pets. Take the time to make sure that they are bonded insured and check out the references. Look@kudzu.com see what their clients have to say about them. You may want to set up a couple of walks to let your pets get used to the pet sitter and give you a chance to see the quality of the work that they do.
Make sure that you get to meet the person who is actually going to be taking care of your pets. I have several people who work with me it's very important to make sure I matched up the sitter with the client. It is also a good idea to meet the alternative pet sitter. After all anybody can get sick and sometimes we all need a day off this way you and your pet will always get the care and comfort level that you deserve.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. you should have a good idea of what your pets needs are help often should they be seen, what kind of care do they need, do they have any medical problems.
you should have a list of questions that you want to ask your pet sitter, how long will they be with your pet, what do they do while they're with your pet, do they have a plan if somebody gets sick. How will they communicate with you while you are out of town. What are their procedures if one of your pets were to become ill? a good pet sitting company has procedures to handle all kinds of situations.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I am a animal lover through and through I have owned all types of pets all my life, I started training dogs when I was 18 years old.
I love being there for people so that they can enjoy their lives and still be good pet owners. It makes me feel so good when a client says it was the best vacation I've had in years because I didn't have to worry about my best friend!
