Very good experience. Mark is very knowledgeable about the recording process, his studio is well organized and he makes it a very comfortable experience. I highly recommend Music Farm Recording Studio!

Mark has played in my band on numerous occassions, and I've recorded with him several times. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him! He does what he says he'll do - when he says he'll do it. NEVER have to worry whether or not Mark will "show up"! He's awesome!

Mark engineered/produced a full length project for me with CIA Records this spring/summer. I found his insights and his objectivity very refreshing. He is a very well rounded musician and engineer and it really comes through in his approach. If you've had nightmare experiences with engineers who couldn't keep the producer hat off or mind their business, no worries.

Mark's studio has a great atmosphere that can make anybody feel welcome and he knows his way around his equipment and computer. There was little to no down time related to equipment glitches or computer snags.

I also had no incidents of "lost" data as Mark was very consistent in backing up and cleaning up any changes we made along the way in Pro Tools (this was paramount in transferring files because there were no "old" files or unnamed files).

If you are looking to record demos, pitch songs or, as in my case, record a full length project for a commercial release Music Farm and Mark will provide you with exceptional results and a genuinely good experience from start to finish.

Mark is a world-class musician and better still a pleasure to work with. We tracked many great tunes there and I'm thankful for his experience and ethic. Recommended to anyone interested in recording great music.

My first studio experience was with Mark Van Allen earlier this summer. Most of my singer-songwriter musical experience has been writing songs in my room and playing them at open mics. With the faith of several people I was given the opportunity to record with mark. I obviously had no idea how anything went, but I left feeling confident, proud, and much more knowledgeable. Mark conducted the recordings in a professional way, while keeping the environment comfortable and the mood encouraging. The end result were several great tracks. I definitely plan on returning.

My experience at Music Farm Studios went beyond what I expected. MvA is a full service producer, who always provides a happy ending. Every idea MvA has is right on the tip of something huge, and it touched me in all the right places! I brought to his studio what seemed such a heavy load, but he helped me find relief, and we all blew right through each session with ease. I would recommend this experience for all of my musician friends, and I will definitely come here again!

I've recorded a full-length, an EP, and a number of demos with Mark--and I'll keep coming back. He's got great gear that really pulls a true sound out of your instruments, and he makes you feel comfortable throughout the process. Great guy to work with. And, if you ask him nicely, he sometimes will lay down some tasty pedal steel, lap steel, or dobro licks on your tunes--which is an added bonus. I'd recommend him to the beginner and touring musician alike.
