FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would be concerned about Bartenders that advertise they are licensed. Georgia does not have statewide licensing. They only require bartenders to have a license for venues that are licensed to sell alcohol. And the license is only valid at that venue. If a Bartender in Georgia say they are licensed...ask to see it! A general Business license does not meet the alcohol requirements. I am professionally trained and certified and TIPS certified (an Alcohol Awareness Certification), and I require my staff to be certified. And out of the 4 licenses I have to serve alcohol not one of them would be valid to serve at your event. One may be obtained depending on the venue (the venue itself is required to have a license to sell alcohol). But unless its a cash bar....its not required by law.
