Whether a full mural scene, a few added touches to a painted wall, or even silhouettes or faux finishes, I would love to add some color to your home or business.
I live in Atlanta and specialize in children's murals and portraits, as well as adult and child in-home painting parties. I am also a face paint artist! I strive to provide my clients with all of their specialty painting needs!
You can see more of my work on my website or follow my recent work and chat with other fans on my Facebook page: The JSG page.
All of my designs are hand drawn and custom designed with my clients in mind. If you'd like more details on pricing and planning, check the details section on my website or on Thumbtack (bottom of the page).
For kitchens and easels (in-home painting parties), I bring all the supplies, and you just host your friends and the food! I do children's birthday parties as well and can design a painting that will match your party theme. You also don't have to worry about favors, as each child will take home their own painting!
I'm located in Atlanta, GA but will be happy to travel! I'd love to work with you on something special and memorable for your place!

Jennifer did such a wonderful job on the picture of my kids. She was able to catch the personality of the moment between a brother and sister that cared so much about each other. Our daughter is now in heaven and this picture will always be so very special for my husband, son and I and we will be able to pass it on to our son to cherish also. I would have Jennifer do another painting for me anytime. You can see that she works hard to capture the essence of the moment.

The mural Jennifer painted in our playroom is fabulous! It completed the room with just the perfect touch. She painted my daughters' names and painted a flower from the fabric in the room. Everyone who sees it loves it.

Jennifer is such a delight, she has a positive outlook on life and she shows that in her work. She is so talented and listens to what you want and does just a beautiful job. She is a joy to have around.

A. When deciding what kind of mural you would like to have painted, it helps to begin the dialog with me before you decide. I keep a large folder with ideas and inspirations, and can always help you decide on something you will love. Also, it is my job to do the research, so if you can give me even the vaguest idea of something you were hoping for, I can usually take it from there and fly!
A. Painting anything is about patience, a visionary eye, and a steady hand. I have to be able to see what I will paint on a blank wall or a blank canvas before I start with one sketch or stroke. But after that, it's alot of second coats, keeping your hand steady, and just keeping the bigger goal as a vision in your mind while you paint in one small space!
A. I was raised by a family of artists, and have been sketching and creating for as long as I can remember. Friends and family members encouraged me to paint for others...and I finally did it! My work is true to life, colorful, and unique. I pay attention to detail, and love vintage flair. I excel at quick creativity, useful wall placement, and coming up with ideas for a design you will love. I am always available to chat with you about any questions you may have!
A. Every time I get a new client, I get to meet a great new friend! Painting a portrait or mural for someone is so personal, and I love being such a special part of their moment and home in that way. I also really love children's birthday parties and adult painting parties--it's like I get to be a part of the celebration!
(And one more fun detail, I love that some days, I can paint from home and keep my fuzzy slippers on all day.) :-)
A. Many customers ask me how I come up with a design for a mural or for the designs for my Kitchens and Easels painting parties. I am inspired by so many things around me--current trends on design blogs and Etsy, items around the client's home that they have lovingly displayed, and even fun or creative billboard ads! Truthfully, there are designs floating in my head all the time, and I really just love the opportunity to paint them!
A. I love painting murals when friends and family come to see the progress. At one home, many of the neighbors would come by after work and just sit in the room with me as I painted--really wanting to be a part of all the excitement that was happening. In another home, the 4 year old girl who I was painting for would run back and forth every ten minutes or so to tell her mom or dad what I was working on next. It was so precious! She would bounce on her toes and watch me, and then run off squealing with excitement when I moved to something new! (I love that kind of energy when I work. Wouldn't you?) :-)
A. I am going to be as generous as possible with my time when I paint, and my time estimates for completing work are usually spot on. I love to help customers design something that is within their budget, but that they would still feel really proud to own! Most people are excited about what I can accomplish within their price range, and with the finished results!
A. Murals and Monograms:
Mural pricing is $400/day and includes all paint and supplies. Most murals can be completed in 1-2 days. Monograms or a smaller design are only $150-$200. I typically love to meet with you to discuss designs and ideas and to see the space before offering a quote. I also will usually do a mock up so that you can have an idea of how your walls will look before we begin! Mural dates book up quickly, so contact me to get available dates for a consultation and your project.
Portraits:
Portraits and architectural watercolors (such as first homes or alma maters) can be created from digital or printed photos. Portrait prices range from $150-535 depending on size and number of people. Family portraits begin at size 5x7 for 2 people, and bridal portraits begin at size 8x10. If you are interested in a bridal portrait for your wedding reception or ceremony, contact me to discuss completion and delivery dates!
Name Paintings:
Name paintings are size 8x10 and framed, and at just $50 are perfect for an incredibly personal baby or children's gift. You send me the colors of the room, furniture, theme or favorite items, as well as personal family touches like pets, college favorites, or family heritage--and I do the rest! The $50 price includes 5 letters or less, and it's $5 for each additional letter. First names, or first and middle names typically work best.
Face Painting:
Face Painting is $85 for 2 hours, and $45 for each additional hour, plus tips. I will do a special rate for churches or non-profits--contact me for details! I don't typically dress up, but will, if the occasion calls for it and the price is right!
Kitchens and Easels:
Painting parties in your home! I bring all the supplies--easels, canvas, paint and brushes, and you and your friends take home your very own masterpiece. Snacks and drinks are encouraged. No experience necessary. Minimum 5 guests.
Painting parties for adults are $25/person for two hours or $35/person for three.
Painting parties for children ages 5 and older are $15/child for one hour and $25/child for two. (For Birthday parties, I can design a painting that is age appropriate to match your party theme!)
Date Night! It's okay if your paint touches. One canvas, two people! A twist on regular Kitchens and Easels. $35 per couple for two hours. Minimum 4 couples.
Big Brush, Little Brush! Collaborative adult and child art. You get to work on the same canvas together, and take home one beautiful work of art! For children over 5, and one participating adult. $25/team for 1 1/2 hours. Minimum 5 adult/child painting teams.
Wedding Walls:
You can find more info on each of the Wedding Walls windows at JenniferSmithGallery on Etsy. But, feel free to send me any specific questions you may have here!
Greenlight Gallery:
During my time overseas, I have had the burden and privilege of meeting children and families whose lives are in deep bondage. These people are living in a state of oppression, some because they have no access to hearing the name of Jesus and others are oppressed because they face literal slavery every day. The name Greenlight Gallery represents those paintings that hold an ideal--that the profit from these painted images of daily life would actually go to faith-based organizations that are working to improve their lives.
- 50% of every sale of these paintings will go directly toward helping the people whose lives these paintings capture. The name also represents the hope that every single red-light district will become a Green Light for the Gospel and Hope of Jesus.
For Schools and Businesses:
I am happy to work either during or outside of business hours to complete murals or projects. I maintain a small work area, and am conscientious of areas that customers will be walking through. But, as I typically work from referrals, I would definitely love to work during business hours if you would allow!
