This review is way overdue!After my very first visit to Lookin Good Salon in December of 2017, I said definitely one of the top 3 cut and colors I have had in my life ... if not the #1! I moved to GA from South FL where I had the same stylist for 26 years. I never had to tell my stylist much, she just did her thing. Finding a new stylist made me a little nervous, but I gave Meena 2 simple bits of info... I was usually pretty happy with my hair unless the roots weren't blonde enough or if we didn't trim enough off the ends. Meena asked me a few preferences and then whipped up some magic and I was thrilled with the results! And a handful of visits later, I continue to be impressed with her work!My experience was more than just an amazing cut and color, Meena educated me so much on how I was damaging my hair and how to help it. She also gave me many styling tips! And since then even some good health tips and life advice! My first visit was the most I've ever spent on hair, however I did have some extra treatments and I purchased products, so I'm not complaining about that. I felt like I got what I paid for! While there are lots of really good things to my whole experience... i.e. taking me in the day after I contacted her when another client canceled (for my first visit) and always accommodating my schedule which are often fairly last-minute requests. Im also fortunate she is only about a 5 to 10 minute drive from my home. One of the greatest things I love about Lookin Good is that it's a private salon! Meena has her salon at her home, as she says she's more of a "personal stylist." I love that there isn't any of that ridiculous salon drama you see at sooo many salons out there! It is just such a pleasant experience... Meena is very sweet and welcoming and fun to chat with. I raved about her and my hair so much that my husband went 2 days later for his trim. I was thinking that he would have been very directive with his hair request, as he has been with the other stylists hes tried. He came home and told me he was very happy with the results, but that he just asked her what her opinion was and had her do her thing!!!I am so happy/ lucky to have found Meena and super happy she's so close to my home (unfortunately Im moving back to Miami in a few weeks)!Meena truly is a master! Its shocking she's only been doing hair for 10 years or so. Genuinely a natural talent! So happy she found her calling and I found her! She will make sure you leave happy!

My experience at Lookin' Good Salon was so delightful. Meena was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable! I wanted to lighten my hair to platinum blonde from a couple different shades that were much darker and warmer. Meena cared about the health of my hair, choosing the most effective, yet least damaging method to achieve what I wanted.Her home studio is beautiful and kept well. It feels comfortable and welcoming. She even put my shirt in the dryer after it got wet from shampooing! It was unlike any other salon experience I've had. I felt as though I was getting my hair done by a good friend!The results were exactly what I was looking for. There have been very few times when I've walked out of a salon 100% satisfied, but I left Lookin' Good Salon feelin' good! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my coloring in the future! Meena does an excellent job-she is a skilled technician and a caring person. I have health issues which have led me to seek out natural hair treatments, and she has been very understanding of my chemical sensitivities. I went to her for my second henna treatment recently, and my hair is a lovely shade of auburn. She had given me a new haircut that I was unsure about (it definitely was a change) and she gave me the opportunity to come back and we explored different ways the cut could be styled. I came out with full, curly hair, and have gotten many compliments on it, and the color. I have naturally stick-straight hair, and have discovered in my mid-forties that I need a little extra "oomph" with my style, LOL. I have consistently seen her do good work with other clients as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Booking an appointment with timing and pricing and a brief consultation over the phone, on the day Checkin formality, A thorough Consultation about what is desired, Suggestions, what is achievable, pricing, how long it will take and stay, Follow up appointments and on call for any questions about styling, products, keeping it healthy. My number one priority is healthy hair, skin so my tons of suggestions are based on that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Travel and Tourism, 2 year Diploma in Cosmetology. Advance Certification in Hair Color, Highlights, Haircuts.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I did corporate jobs for few years in different fiends like Medical billing, Airline crew, Travel Agency, I missed being creative, I got tired of company politics and depending on a company for my livelihood. I wanted freedom of time and to feel good about work and blooming with my creativity. So started my quest and decided I have to have skills which no one can take from me. Had taken a parttime job in Salon to help a master Stylist and I fell in with with this Industry and went to 2 year Cosmetology school and till date love my work, I have all that I wanted. Love meeting new people, feel good about being independent and able to do great things for my clients. Never a dull moment.
