FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Weddings take months (ideally) to plan, so I have several of those working throughout the year. It is important that my brides get the attention they deserve, so I plan no more than 2 weddings per month. I also offer full service planning for bridal showers, birthday parties and other private, family focused events. There has been an increase in the requests for planning proposals, which are always fun. Way to go guys! It seems that more people are looking to create and celebrate historical moments. I have been getting more inquiries for proposals, vow renewals and romantic anniversaries than ever before. I love to do those because there is a chance to make each event as unique as the client and their relationship.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice for customers who are interviewing service providers is to ask the questions that are most important up front. If you know you want your ceremony to have an old, country theme, then keep that in the forefront of your mind when you talk to planners about ideas for your wedding. That is the key phrase, "your wedding". The pictures from your cousin's wedding with the waterfall as the backdrop may be breathtaking. But if your planner cannot translate your ideas to the designer for your event, you will be disappointed. That is a hard thing for couples to get over on this once-in-a-lifetime day. Bottom line? Trust your instincts and shop for the professional who you believe will be able to deliver what you want and need.
