Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My advice for anyone looking to hire a contractor is too ask lots of questions. Feel him or her out and make sure they know what they're talking about. I'd also pay attention to the truck they're driving, the attire they show up in (clean, company name, dressed for business) and the manner in which they treat your home from the beginning. References are huge! Many times home owners don't ask for these but its a big mistake not to. If the contractor does good work and is a professional he will be glad you asked and happy to provide a list of satisfied customers.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our work stands out from others because its our passion and our profession. We take the utmost pride in what we do and when we are finished we want the home owner to feel the same way about there newly completed project.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I really enjoy working with my hands and turning nothing into something, but what really inspires me and keeps me motivated is seeing the thrilled faces of my customers after we have completed their home project or renovation. Priceless!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How did you get started doing this?
I grew up with a dad that was a "fix it" kinda guy. In high school my best friends dad owned a home building business and I spent summers working construction. The rest I've learned working along side skilled craftsman and some from taking a few hard knock classes.
How do you price your jobs?
I price per job or fixed price. I will come out to your home (free) and take a look at the work you need completed or repaired. At that point I'll work up an idea of the cost to complete and email a quote. We stand behind whatever quote is given.
Where do you work?
Alpharetta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Roswell, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Marietta, Buckhead, Vinings etc.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. It's my hope that home owners realize that there are professionals in this industry. Although contractors often get a bad rap for being sloppy, disorganized and unprofessional in all senses of the word. We believe here at Old South Renovations that it's just as important to keep a well maintained job site, speak to neighbors and home owners with courtesy, dress appropriately as it is to provide top quality work. We hold ourselves to a higher standard and I think our customers appreciate that.
