Since I am a virtual paralegal, and not an attorney, I cannot give any form of legal advice to the public. This includes helping with forms or telling you where to find a form.
We offer nationwide bankruptcy preparation (only for attorneys), small business accounting, tax preparation and attorney referral for other legal matters. I am a Georgia Notary Public.
We are affiliated with several local Georgia bankruptcy and other attorneys. These attorneys also handle Wills, Power of Attorney, Probate of Estates, accident cases, new corporations, DUI defense, and misdemeanor criminal cases.
We have over 30 years experience with Georgia legal matters. Always looking to add new attorneys, who need good paralegal help, to my list.
A. Gather as much information for your documents, as you can, and do what you can on your own. Since paralegals cannot give legal advice, they are limited in how much help they can give to the public. When being hired by an attorney, I am not so limited. I can do just about any project an attorney is willing to trust me to do, and since I work virtually, I am not limited by geography.
A. I get calls all the time, from people who think that a paralegal can be hired to review documents and tell them whether they are correct. A paralegal cannot be a substitute for an attorney, at a lower cost. Paralegals are forbidden from using their knowledge to guide people in the right direction. If you are going to represent yourself, without an attorney, you must do your own research, draft your documents, and get prepared to present your own case to the court. If you are unable to do your own work, you must consult an attorney.
A. How many years experience have you had in the legal field? Have you had experience with what I need you to do? What attorney associations do you have? Do I need an attorney? What can you do for me? Can you put me in touch with an attorney? How will you get my documents to me? How will you be paid?
A. What do you expect a paralegal to do for you? Have you already consulted with an attorney about your legal issues? If you have tried to do your own documents, what have you done, so far? Are you comfortable with going to court, without an attorney? What price are you expecting to spend? How much do you know about the court procedures for your kind of case? Do you know that you are filing the proper kind of case for your circumstances?
