I have been natural for about 4 years. In those years I have tried many different stylist and gone to many different salons. I have been to salons that specialize in natural hair and Dominican shops but my hair has never felt better and looked better than this past year that I have been letting Trish take care of my hair. My hair is growing and healthy!
Although I love my natural hair Trish makes any style fit my face. And I have had it all!! Whether it be a quick weave or sew in, curly or straight, black or red, long or short.... She gives an honest, professional opinion on what would compliment your features or skin. I always seem to get compliments on my hair and as quickly as I get a few of her business cards in my hand is just as quick as I am handing them out.
Also, I love that she never overbooks! Each of her customers can get personalized attention without the rushed feeling. I plan to continue to get Styled by Trish for many many more years. I recommend her to anyone. She does her very best to make sure you are satisfied and leave looking great!!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Weaves, color, cuts

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure the provider is licensed, professional, and listens to what YOU want, not what they want to do

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I take time and create beautiful art with hair. I don't rush

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. EVERYTHING! I love to make people look and feel beautiful.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How are you going to do my hair? Where ever my creative mind takes me, unless you have a request :)

How long have you been styling hair? 10 years

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. My favorite story would have to be styling my 1st celebrity clients. Deitrick and Damita Haddon who I met at a photo shoot for a magazine. I went on to do work for them on their tv show (85 south gospel street), magazine cover for Deitrick, styled Damita for 2008 Stellar awards, No Looking Back CD photo shoot for Damita, and more.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Stylist sometimes have a hard time making people beautiful, and knowing what the customer will like in the end. Take it easy on us sometimes...lol
Stylist like when you make your appointment on time. If you can't, call your stylist and let her know.

About me. I wish they knew if they already don't that I loooove to do hair and I love them for choosing me :)

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. All i've ever known about was hair, when my mom was getting her hair done, as a child I would go and sit with her and watch the stylist and style mannequins. When I got to high school I chose cosmetology as my elective and learned more about the art of hair and then on to hair school in Decatur, Ga and the rest is history.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. An invisible part quick weave

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes. I'm always in classes and I go to the Bronner brothers hair shows and take classes as well.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. Invisible part quick weave cost approximately $115 and takes about 2hrs to complete depending on the clients natural hair length

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Listen to your client and what they want. Don't have your client in the salon for hours. example: appointment at 8am and get out at 2pm. Give each client their own personal time.
