Are you looking for academic tutoring? I am a learning specialist with a master of arts in teaching degree from Emory University.

Having owned and operated my tutoring business for over 20 years, I have experienced teaching children with ages from preschool through high school. I specialize in teaching children with learning disabilities in the areas of attention, memory and language.

Some of the subjects I am qualified to teach include reading, math, writing, study skills, organizational skills, and test-taking skills. Recently, I have developed seminars for parents on innovative teaching techniques for teaching math concepts. The seminars are taught by grade level and by specific math concepts such as regrouping in addition and subtraction, multiplication and division concepts, fraction concepts and operations with mixed numbers, decimal concepts and operations, and percents. I have found that when children truly understand and can visualize math concepts, they retain the information and can apply it to new situations.

I welcome the opportunity to be of assistance to you. My rates are $50 per hour for individual sessions and $25 per person for small group sessions. The group sessions are limited to 3 people.
