How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get in this line of work because I got layed off from my DHL Express job. I already knew how to do taxes because I have done my own for eight years. So, I took some classes online for bookkeeping and accounting plus I am presently attending the University of Phoenix for accounting. Then I started looking for clients and I am doing good for myself. I am just looking to help more people and business owners.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The most recent job I had was working for Airborne/DHL Express. I started working for Airborne Express in 1998. Than DHL Express take over Airborne Express in 2002. I was layed off in 2009 due to cut backs in the company. When I started with this company I was just an driver and I worked my way up to manager. While working at this company I learned alot about the business and how to deal with different type of people. It was a great job sometimes I wish that they would have never let me go but since then I have been working for myself.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If I was looking to hire a person like me, would look at everything they have to offer in their company. If they are hands on with you, good customer service, and good responses time.
