FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common repair we do is malware (viruses, "scareware," spyware and other malicious software) removal. The next most common fix is laptop screen replacement. The third most common repairs are DC jack and hard drive replacements on laptops. We also see a fair amount of problems caused by overheating on both laptops and desktop systems. We also see a lot of broken hinges and keyboards on laptops. All of this is fixable, and a lot cheaper than buying a new computer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a repair shop to fix your computer, find out how long they've been in business, and check the reviews on Yelp and similar websites. Also, don't make the mistake of making price the sole reason for hiring. It's wasted time and money if the job is not done right. Also, you don't want to wait any longer than necessary. So, in addition to asking how much, find out how long it will take to do the repair. There's no reason to wait two weeks to simply get a virus cleaned up. In Hawaii, parts can sometimes take a few days to get in, but if no parts are needed, you shouldn't have to wait more than a couple of business days to get your lifeline back.
