  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Continuing education is extremely important to us at Fitness Ranes. In fact, lifelong learning is one of our core values. In addition to staying current with certification, I often travel to further my education as Hawaii is extremely limited in Continuing Education offerings. In the last year alone, I've traveled to Hong Kong, Canada, California, Colorado, Nevada, and Washington to learn from some of the top instructors in the world. We conduct staff meetings to share knowledge and constantly improve within our team of trainers. We are constantly researching the latest research and developments in everything related to personal training, strength & conditioning, and health & fitness. You can be confident you are choosing a personal trainer that is ahead of the curve when you choose a personal trainer at Fitness Ranes.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    My journey began with my own transformation. I started at almost 240 lbs. I was overweight (morbidly obese by medical standards), had low self confidence, and felt absolutely miserable. I hated what I saw when I looked in the mirror. I did a lot of reading & researching, made a decision to change and I have never looked back. After losing more than 80 pounds, I helped my girlfriend at the time lose 30 pounds. Then I helped a friend lose 50 pounds. I could hardly believe it myself! I kept studying, and decided to go to school to further my thirst for knowledge in the field of health & fitness. Fast forward 10 years..I currently lead a team of 5 personal trainers at Fitness Ranes that all use the training methods, teaching progressions, coaching cues, and systems that I have developed. My team of trainers are getting people amazing results each and every day. It's been an incredible journey, to say the least.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Our personal training and group training programs are fun, challenging, unique, and highly effective. Physique transformation is the most common thing people seek us out for, but we also do other things. Our Athlete Strength & Conditioning program has produced numerous Hawaii State, and National champions. We are the secret weapon of many high school athletes looking to get an edge.
