David Murphey is a wonderful photographer. As the photographer for our wedding we feel he did a wonderful job. The quality of his photographs is excellent, and he was able to process our pictures in a timely manner that fully met our expectations. In addition, David conducts himself in a professional manner and he is always prompt, organized, and pleasant. He was also very receptive to our needs in terms of accommodating specific requests such as taking photos with specific friends and groups as part of the wedding. If you need a photographer for a wedding or any other occasion, we would highly recommend him.

We were looking for a wedding photographer to shoot our ceremony at The Royal Hawaiian hotel in Dec 2012. After contacting 3 photographers recommended by the hotel, we did not feel confident in the final photographer's ability to deliver. Unwilling to settle, I performed a Google search for photographers and happened to find Thumbtack. I put in a request for a wedding photographer with just 2.5 weeks to go before our date. David was quick to respond and professional. He provided costs upfront and was very responsive with all of our questions. I was very excited to learn that his work had been featured on The Royal Hawaiian's website and he was familiar with the hotel property. Additionally, we also learned that David does a lot of commercial work for large companies such as Disney and Lexus! David was the only photographer we contacted that would bring an assistant for our short 3 hour shoot. We are so glad that he did because his assistant was doing some crazy things manipulating the lighting and our pictures came out wonderful! David provided our photos via website within 2.5 weeks of our event. He only needed to provide us with 120 photos but he took so many pictures during the event that he threw in an extra 55 photos and we are so grateful. During the shoot, David directed us in a lot of different poses, and since we not naturals at modeling, we were afraid the photos would turn out stiff or awkward. We are amazed at some of the photos and how natural everything looked. We will also be ordering the 50-photo album from David. Although we thought the price for this was very steep, David explained to us all of the work that went into designing and touching up the album that we felt it was worth it. David also told us that since he would be providing us with a high-res disc of all the photos, we could also design the album ourselves and have it printed at a lab of our choice. I had read online about a DIY album and do feel that it is worth it to have a professional do this as this will be a keepsake for life! Because of his openness, I did not feel that he was pushy or trying to sell us on this expensive album. We have learned that the whole album process takes about 4 months. This seems like a long time but I am sure it is standard in the industry - I can't wait to see our final results!
