I worked with Kauakea in early November of 2011. I felt very comfortable with her, which is one of the things I look for in a photographer. After we met her at our original location, she suggested a different location because of the weather and circumstances, and she was right - it was a much better location and I'm glad she suggested it. She was fun to chat with and professionally and tactfully advised us on what to wear from the outfits we had brought and how to correct things that would look bad in the photos. The photos came out beautifully and were well liked; I even had a friend say she might want to have some photos done by Kauakea, too. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend her.

Great Experience! My wife and I used Kauakea Winston Photos for a 1 hour photo shoot on the beach in Lanikai. Kauakea was a true professional from start to finish. Communicating with her before during and after the shoot was easy. She was very receptive to the kind of pictures and poses we wanted, and made us feel comfortable during the shoot. We were very happy with the results and would highly recommend her services.

I worked with Kauakea back in Sept for an engagement shoot at the beach. My fiance and I arranged our meeting from San Diego, and Kauakea was a great resource for picturesque spots that would help make our photos look amazing while we were on vacation. She is very warm and inviting, which really helps calm any fears one might have about the awkwardness of posing. Her pictures captured our relationship on film perfectly! I honestly could not be happier with her photo quality. She is a pleasure to work with, and if we're ever back in Honolulu again we'll look her up!
