Lomi Lomi Nui is an ancient form of bodywork, coming mostly from the spiritual traditions of Hawaii. This sacred rite of passage was designed to bring intiates to an expanded understanding of themselves and their role in the universe.
Trained by Kahuna Abraham Kawai'i, Jody Mountain offers both private sessions, as well as training workshops in this ancient art.
Sessions in therapeutic Lomi Lomi may be 1 or 1.5 hours. Sessions in Lomi Lomi Nui are approximately 3 hours in length and require a 2-day advance booking.
Workshops offer the foundations of the bodywork found in ancient Hawaiian mysticism. Anyone interested in profound and lasting personal and spiritual growth is welcome; no massage experience necessary.

Jody is incredibly gifted with body work, healing, movement, core and cellular transformation and so much more. Experiencing her work is nothing short of magical. It is as if she was born to do this work and that she is truly expressing her soul's purpose.
I attended a wonderful retreat that she organized and facilitated that simply changed my life. It was deeply enriching in so many ways. I learned a tremendous amount about Lomi Lomi, Hawaiian healing and lineage, cellular healing, cleansing, body movement, habitual thinking and patterns, and so much more about myself enabling me to pay attention and be more present and peaceful in my life. I have integrated and utilized many of the techniques I learned from her and I highly recommend this work for anyone who wants to learn, transform, and deepen themselves on every level.

I have had 2 personal Lomi Lomi Nui sessions with Jody and traveled all the way from Ottawa Canada to spend a week with her at a Lomi Lomi Nui training session in Molakai HI. I have found all experiences to be incredibly calming and healing to my spirit. I highly recommend Jody as an incredible person and professional.

Having had a Lomi Lomi Nui session many years ago I was always looking for someone who does this kind of work. When I read about Jody and her work I was sure that this was a sign since I was on my way to Maui for vacation.
I experienced Jody's work as the most loving touch; leaving me feeling like newborn, totally relaxed and very much in peace. Her work goes very deep, to the core of your being. The physical effect lasted for months while the effect on the spiritual level still goes on.
It is hard to explain or describe Jody's work, one has to experience it!
Mahalo nui loa, Jody, for this wonderful work

This devoted practitioner took me to a place of relaxation in mind, body and spirit... to a sense of complete bliss. I named my experience of this ancient art "sleeping with God" . I had never experienced such a high transmission of light and beauty until I experienced Lomi Lomi Nui with Jody. I would highly recommend Jody and her work to anyone seeking physical balance and spiritual awakening.

A. My best advice is to seek out those who have authentic training and have been practicing for some time. Secondly, and most importantly, make sure you feel comfortable with the practitioner, and trust your feeling. If you can't fully relax in the session, it won't be as beneficial for you.
A. The word 'Lomi Lomi' simply means to massage, (to knead, to break up into little pieces). There are many different types and lineages of Lomi Lomi in Hawai'i, each having it's own specialty. Most can be seen as primarily therapeutic, or primarily spiritual. Both are 'prayerful' work, and both have therapeutic benefits, but have slightly different approaches.
A. 'With whom did you study with and for how long?'
'How long have you been practicing (or teaching) this work?'
'What is the primary focus of the session (or workshop)?'
'Is this transformational bodywork?'
'What can I expect after a session?'
A. People should know if they are looking primarily for therapeutic work: i.e. do they have a physical problem they are wanting addressed?
If they are looking for transformational bodywork or training which encompasses body, mind and spirit, this would likely be the right treatment or workshop.
