FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I remember hearing a piano song when I was very young (probably around age two or three) and asking my parents if I could learn to do that. Of course, no one generally takes students that young, so I was extremely excited when I was finally old enough to take lessons (about five years old). I never imagined I'd get very far in music especially because many people commented that musicians don't make money. But through the years, I've learned that being a musician isn't always about the money; it's about the passion and loving this art-form. And that's part of what I hope to pass on to my students.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Playing the piano is incredibly rewarding. There's no other instrument as versatile and in demand as the piano. But learning to play it requires a lot of commitment to practicing. I meet with students once a week for a limited time, so the bulk of the learning really happens at home when they practice. If students maintain good weekly practice routines, they will get the most out of their lessons with me each week.
