FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I may quote a certain price, but I am willing to work with people on what they can afford. Also, I do have a travel fee after 50 miles, but I often waive that (or include it in the total charge for photos.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to know what people are looking for... beyond family photos, and beyond portraits. I tell them to to look at my work, the photos, the style... and tell me what they like, and I can expand from there. I want to know their vision for how they want a photo to turn out. The people, the type of photo and the setting for the photo usually give me a vision of what I want to do. I explain that vision or idea... if they have other thoughts or ideas, I definitely want to hear about them. In short, I want people to be happy with all the final photos. I want to understand their wants and needs before I begin to shoot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A number of classes: Digital Photography, and Photoshop. Lots of Photoshop. Prior to the digital world, I took a few traditional darkroom classes.
