Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that Des Moines earned a 'B+' overall grade from small business owners.
Some of the key findings for Des Moines include:
- The city received an 'A' grade for its business-friendly licensing and permitting regulations.
- Iowa received a 'B-' grade overall, up from a 'C+' in 2012.
