- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am in constant training, normally taking a few online courses, honing my skills, expanding my knowledge, and improving my services. I also receive numerous newsletters from various tech sources of new and innovative approaches in the field of IT.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been fascinated with computers since my Dad bought me a Commodore 64 when I was little. As the technology progressed, so did my fascination. At first it was how to program them, where I went to school for computer programming. Then my curiosity shifted to the components and how everything comes together, at which point, I attended more schooling for computer systems and networking. With so much technology, it's always a challenge yet exhilarating experience.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common issue our clients contact us about is virus / spyware removal. In 2012, an average of 74,000 malware strains were created, daily. Next in line, would be some form of laptop repair. Cracked screens, damaged keyboards, broken charger plugs, and the dreaded liquid spill, have been the most common we've seen.
