Charlene's Music Boise

I have 35 years of experience in teaching private piano lessons and 18 years of experience teaching group and private voice lessons. I am university-trained in both piano and voice. In piano, I teach theory along with all the major and minor scales, chords, and arpeggios from beginners to advanced students. I enjoy teaching all levels and I have a fun approach to teaching beginners of all ages. I use Faber, Alfred and Bastien lesson books, plus levels 1 through 10 classical books. I also teach technique out of Dozen A Day. Voice lessons include an emphasis on proper breathing (very important), posture and relaxation, many vocalizes (vocal exercises), technique books, diction, and many enjoyable songs to sing and practice. I am positive and patient, with one of my main goals being, to help instill a great love of music in all of my students. I expect students to practice a minimum of five days per week. Lessons are $15.00 per 30-minute lesson and $22.50 per 45-minute lesson (for more advanced students), one lesson each week. I live between Franklin and Overland in Boise close to the Meridian boundary.
