About North End Treble Makers

hired 14 times on Thumbtack

Lessons for all ages are given for 30 minutes or one hour each week. One on one with a private instructor. Beginning students will learn instrument basics and reading music. From there you will decide which style of music you would like to focus, ie classical, bluegrass, Irish, Celtic, ect. I also offer group lessons for 2-5 students.

We have shows nearly every month throughout the year which give students the opportunity to play with a group once tunes have been learned.

I have taken lessons with Jessie for three years. With her patience and guidance I've learned so much. She's an amazing instructor, and will do anything and everything she can to help you learn. I highly recommend her.

I have taken 3 fiddle lessons and am already playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Fiddlin Frog got me a good deal on a fiddle, electronic tuner, and everything else I need to start playing.

Very nice woman who does a good job explaining terms and procedures for playing violin properly. I have only had one lesson so far but I can tell I will learn a lot from her.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We have several shows throughout the year which give students the opportunity to play with a group once tunes have been learned.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love getting students together to play the music they have learned and also bringing student out in the community to share the music they have learned with others.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I have many stories about all the great students I have had the privilege of teaching over the years but I think what they have to say about me is more important...

"Thank you for being a wonderful teacher. Music is in you and now it will always be in me."~~~ Audrey B.~~~

"Jessie teaches both my children and I fiddle and mandolin. She is patient, positive, and encouraging. She is great teaching both kids and adults and I would highly recommend taking lessons with her. When my son didn't want to play fiddle anymore, he picked mandolin so that he could still have lessons with Miss Jessie. She is very professional and is prompt for lessons and answers communications in a timely manner. We love Miss Jessie!"~~~Julie E.~~~

"Thank you for teaching me how to play the violin. I enjoy doing this and will continue to throughout my life. Thank you!" ~~~Ryan H.~~~

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. There are hundreds of great musicians out there but I believe the most important thing to look for in a teacher is someone who is patient and truly cares about helping their students progress... someone who is able to explain music theory and technique in a way students can understand and apply it.
