How did you get started doing this type of work?
Veronica has loved animals her entire life. As a young child she wanted to be a marine biologist, then a dolphin trainer then finally a veterinarian. Her love for animals led her to attend a Zoo Magnet. The High School was located in the Los Angeles Zoo. She later worked at the Zoo working with a wide variety of animals including time in the nursery, childrens zoo and educational outreach programs. She has taken classes in animal husbandry and worked with both large and small exotic species. She was an animal science major for three years in college but after working in an animal hospital she decided to pursue other endeavours. Working in the animal hospital was a great experience and a wonderful learning opportunity with domestic animals. Veronica can administer medications and injections. She finished her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Business Management.
