Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Weddings. We love weddings. Our slideshows follow the Bride and Groom growing up, and moving through their courtship, engagement and wedding. They are perfect for any reception. Some have the video playing while the guests are waiting to congratulate them. Photomontoges also make great gifts for the parents and grandparents of the happy couple.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Dont just go on price alone. Be sure to see some samples. Ask lots of questions. You want to make sure that you are getting the best service for the best price. A lot of slideshow experts tack on extra fees for editing photos, extra music, extra transitions, captions, menus etc. Our photo editing is free with every slideshow. We are with you every step. we also make the video available for preview before we ship it out.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. A lot of people assume that their brother in law can make a slideshow on his computer and that it will be exactly what they want. Please realize that we have experience. We are professionals. If you hate the slideshow your brother in law made, you are pretty much stuck with it. We make sure you are 100% satisfied.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love taking random memories that are saved in a box and bringing them to life on the screen. There is just something about music behind photos that makes them magic. I love creating the magic, matching photos to words in songs, making the photos dance across the screen, and making my clients happy that they chose me.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My grandparents were having their 50th wedding anniversary. My aunt called me to see if I could throw together something on the computer that would be a cute tribute of their life. It ended up being this massive project of sorting and scanning and editing. It turned out so cute. I was pretty impressed with myself. a year later my cousin asked me to do a video for her wedding. It turned out even better than the anniversary slideshow. Then more people started asking me to do videos and the more I did the better they turned out. I was told that I should make my amazing creations into a business and in 2006 Impressions was born.
