Always search around an find a style of photography that you are looking for! If you are looking for senior or family portraits, find someone with a package that fits what you are looking for and with good quality and lighting. Don't hire someone that uses an on-camera flash as it creates harsh lighting. In the case of a wedding, it can only be taken once and investing in a good photographer that knows how to work the best angles, run their equipment, and shoot in a variety of conditions is essential to being able to remember your special day exactly as it was twenty years down the road. Don't always hire the cheapest photographer or the most expensive, research their style and packages then make your decision.
