Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We are very persistent and don't quit trying new things until we get the desired result. Many trainers have a set way of doing things and if they don't work on a particular horse, they give up and send the horse home. We do our best to get desired results using a wide range of methods. I like all aspects of training. I like watching horses learn, and progress through different levels of experience. I like to show. It's nice to take a horse you've been working so hard on and see them succeed in such a tough situation as a show! And finally, I like the people we deal with everyday! My clients are some of the best a trainer could have! We always like gaining new customers and meeting new horses.

Russ has done an outstanding job training our 5 year old paint mare and our 11 year old daughter. Our mare was barely broke to ride when we purchased her and had some behavioral problems. We bought her for our daughter to ride in 4H and on trail so needed to know that she could be ridden safely. She now has 90 days training under Russ and we are 100% confident our daughter will be able to ride her safely and confidently. We have taken her on trail rides the past two weekends and she has been perfect. She follows and leads without any problem and gets along well with other horses. She loads easier than our 12 y/o experienced trail horse. Russ has also given riding lessons to me, my husband and our daughter. He is patient, kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. He is a parent himself, so quickly established rapport with our daughter. She listens carefully to his instruction and practices what he teaches. He has helped our family tremendously by answering questions about basic horsemanship and helping us purchase and fit the proper equipment and tack for both of our horses. I highly recommend him as a horse and riding trainer.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with a lot of colts around 2-3 yrs old. We are just starting to work with show horses. We also work with horses people are having problems with. We work to help the horse understand what their owners are asking.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Try to listen to what they are saying, not what they want you to here. And don't always fall for the guy who tells you what you want to here. Ask around and try to find someone who is honest with there customers.
