We were on a mini vacation and when we returned I did a walkthrough and everything seemed fine. The next day was going to finally hit the 70's so I power washed our backyard deck not knowing that over the winter some part of the faucet outside was damaged and it would only leak if you turned on the outside faucet. I flooded our finished basement but didn't find out until 3 days later when the kids were going to watch a movie and found the wet carpet.I didn't know if I would have insurance coverage. I found Scene Cleaners and Tom came out and listened to every question and concern that I had and then calmly went through them with me and made sure that I understood everything. Dave and Wyatt instructed the crew and they took care of everything. My adjuster complimented on how clean they left everything. These guys really are professionals.

We had a sewage back-up occur in our finished basement. Our home was only a year old, we bought new construction. You can imagine this was quite a frustrating experience. Dave and his team at Scene Cleaners was top notch. Dave dropped his personal plans and arrived at our house on a Sunday to come up with a mitigation game plan. He was communicative throughout and ensured that our home was rid of water and any potential issues resulting from the flood. Dave worked closely with our insurance company to ensure we'd be on a path to rebuild our basement. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started my restoration career providing hail damage repair services to the Atlanta area in 2009. I received my insurance adjuster's license in 2011 and hit the road, covering western Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, Iowa, and Missouri. I was done with the travel in 2013 and went to work for a restoration company in the Chicago area. In 2015 I went out on my own.
