Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. The combination of Atlas and Atlantic, provides you with the best choice for quality service at a competitive price.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. It is important that customers do not view all moving services providers as being the same. You want to do business with a company that will absolutely minimize the risk of a service failure. Our unique self haul service accomplishes that goal by giving us complete control over all the variables in the move process.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. They shoul know the scope of the project they are asking us to quote. This eliminates the variables.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We provide true self pack, self haul service. The driver and crew are our employees, and we own the vehicles. Other movers use drivers and equipment from the van line fleet, and do not own their equipment.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The challenge of satisfying each customer by providing them with top quality service.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Price and quality questions are most frequently asked. Our goal is to be the highest quality provider at a competitive price. We want to earn the opportunity to be your mover for life!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. My favorite story repeats itself many times with many customers. We initiate contact with someone in need of our services, who is very leary of the industry, and not very trusting at the start. By the time of delivery, however, they have complete confidence in our staff and crew that they are relaxed and confidently respond that they will be using us again for future service needs.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. We are professionals who provide a valuable service to people in need. Our job is difficult, and our responsibility is huge. We embrace our work with total dedication towards quality service.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My career goal was to become an important partner to corporations that require high touch service. Provide a company with repeat moving and storage solutions fills that gaol exactly.

Q. What are your most common types of jobs?

A. Domestic and International relocations, along with commercial projects.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We packed, loaded and moved 57000 lbs of household goods on short notice, requiring 7 men and 2 vans for a week, and performed without any damage.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. All the time. Our Van Line has ongoing educational requirements, and we are members of American Moving and Storage Assn., Corporate Relocation Council, and Illinois Movers and warehousemen's Assn.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

Testimonials

  • December 9, 2009

A few years ago I accepted a new position and I relocated from the Washington DC area to Chicago. My new employer used a company called Noffs Atlantic Relocation Services to move all of my belongings. I wasn't familiar with this company so I was a little nervous at first. I spoke to John Simon in the Arlington Heights office and he helped to eliminate any fears I might have. His professional attitude coupled with his knowledge and understanding of the difficulties involved with moving into the downtown Chicago area left my mind at ease. Everything arrived on time and in good condition. I needed additional follow up to uncrate an antique and John took care of it.

Since my move I have recommend John Simon to three of my friends. My last friend to move involved planning and coordinating during the labor day weekend. The packers came in and had him out of his loft in less then a day. John said it was short notice and a busy weekend but he made it happen. My friend has since recommended John to his friend. Maybe the guys with a truck might be cheaper but I wouldn't trust them to move my belongings. I wouldn't use anyone else accept John Simon and his team at Noffs Atlantic Relocation.
