That Chick Can Cook! is a specialty catering company that offers more than the everyday catering menu. No typical "beef and pasta" here! We diligently work to create unique yet delicious recipes and menu items that can satisfy even conservative guests.
We do our best to use fresh veggies and herbs that are in season. We either get them from our own home garden or from local farmers markets and roadside farm stands. We are big supporters of the local farming industry.
We want customers to feel special to us, so we give them generous portions of mouth-watering food that is enough for seconds and even leftovers.
Fun. Fabulous. Fresh.
Our goal is to work with customers in throwing memorable events — events that have their personalities all over it. Our menus are customized to honor the customer's tastes and to leave the guests wanting more.

The food is fantastic. That Chick Can Cook catered my daughter in laws wedding shower. Her ordevor was out of this world along with all the food she prepared.
That Chick Can Cook also catered a luncheon for our school district. You must try her chicken sald.– Pam

Several years ago, the hostesses of a baby shower for my daughter (at my suggestion) hired Gabrielle as the caterer. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious, but it almost didn't get eaten because so much attention was paid to presentation that nobody wanted to be the first one to "dig in" to any of the platters or bowls. When we had taken all the photos we wanted, we asked the mom-to-be to lead the way in dismantling Gabrielle's masterpieces. Everything tasted at least as scrumptious as it looked.

Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Rehersal Dinners & Wedding Showers, Weddings, Baby Showers, Birthday Parties at home, Girls Night In, Anniversary Parties, Children's Parties, Mother's & Father's Day, Christmas Parties
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Take time to ask questions about what the caterer loves to cook and what their own personal style is. This will give you a good idea of their abilities and passion for foods. You will be able to gauge how your tastes might compliment each other.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I wish I knew just how much time, effort and thought that goes into creating wonderful food.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. It is very important to be thinking about your budget. If you want really great, unique and beautiful food at your event, know that it takes time and effort to bring all the pieces together. If you only want "beef & pasta" then you'll be happy hiring a local restaurant to provide you with those foods. The bottom line is that if you want your menu to be unique or special in any way, you'll need to make sure your budget reflects your vision.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We pay close attention to the colors, textures, flavors, and artful display of our dishes. Everything must taste delicious and look even more amazing.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love to take raw goods and make them sing with beauty and robust flavor!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Do you have a set menu? No, everything we do is custom. I am happy to create a custom menu proposal that captures your personality and favorite flavors.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. How much time and effort it takes to pull of a party. I would love them to know how much of my time is devoted to their special day.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. After years and years of learning how to cook, many friends and family questioned why I wasn't in the food industry. I finally took the plunge and my first gig was a luncheon for 100 guests! It went off with a bang and my clients loved the food!
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. I was hired to do a Vegan wedding several hours away. There were many unknowns, and challenges. I tried with my best effort to make really yummy "normal" food for the guests. Everytime I brought out a tray of food, guests were stopping me to tell me how delicious everything was. I was so proud of myself and I realized that I might have changed the opinions of many people who realized that good food tastes good whether you use animal products or not. This was one of the most rewarding gig's that I ever decided to take on.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. I made homemade rosemary flatbread for 100 guests. They were absolutely fantastic. Friends and family raved about them. A close friend said she does not ever want to purchase boxed crackers again.
Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.
A. Our prices start at 16.00 per person and increase based on the menu.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. You must LOVE variety, staying on your toes, and putting out fires (sometimes literally). Catering is for those who deal well with change and crisis. You must be able & willing to change depending on the situation at hand.
