FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Personality and talent are key. If you don't like your photographer, are you going to smile naturally for them? We have fun when we photograph our clients and we feel that is shows in our portraits. As far as talent goes, look for experience. John has been doing weddings since 1987 and Christine since 1997, we know the ins and outs of photographing a wedding and are not stressed during a wedding day. A stressed out photographer rubs off on people and it may show up on expressions in portraits. We have also been photographing children for just as long, so we know know the psychology of dealing with kids to make them smile. It's all about experience.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
With all of the digital cameras out there and apps to create specialty photos, more and more people are thinking that those photos are 'good enough'. People don't realize that when they look at these photos outside of Facebook or their computer screen, the quality is no where near what a professional can do . Really good photographers are a dying breed out there and when you can find the original film photographers, you know that you will have someone that truly knows lighting, composition and good exposure - because before digital, you couldn't fix that after the fact.
