- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. As speech-language pathologists, we are bound by professional obligation to accrue a certain number of continuing education units (CEUs), which are earned by attending seminars, conferences and courses, in order to maintain our certification.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We provide accent reduction and ESL training programs for corporate and medical professional who have strong foreign or regional accents. We also provide consultative services to corporations in the Chicago area who seek our expertise in helping their employees improve their communication skills in the workplace.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Know the credentials of the trainers you hire! You really do get what you pay for. There are many people who do not have the necessary education, credentials or training in linguistics or communication skills who provide "accent training" and English as a Second Language instruction. Our accent and ESL training courses are taught by highly qualified, experienced, and certified speech-language pathologists with Master's degrees in speech pathology. One of our trainers also has a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. We are trained to assess speech sound production and English language skills. Our clients can be assured that the quality of instruction we offer is superior to that of many of our competitors.
