Introduction: What would your life be like, if you could put your IRS problems in the rear-view mirror? I've always had empathy for people whose businesses are in trouble or are in financial jeopardy. Many times, they quickly turn to expensive lawyers and or quick-fix tax resolution firms. As a sole proprietor in this industry, I take great pride in providing my clients with personal one-on-one service. When you contact me, whether it be email and or over the phone, you will speak to me and only me. I've helped many clients who were facing an IRS audit and subsequent appeals. I had a realtor client, who owned dozens of properties and was facing a pretty scary situation. But after 2 years of working on his case, I was able to resolve his situation well beyond his satisfaction. I had another client who hadn't filed his taxes in over 25 years! Suffice to say after working with him, I was able to get him "back into they system", whereby he was able to move on with his life. As a licensed CPA I am also able to provide my client's with income tax preparation, payroll taxes and sales taxes. I am also certified in QuickBooks Desktop and Online. Assisting business owners with their tax issues, is just one passion of mine. I also enjoy helping entrepreneurs get an upstart on their new venture. Forming a company is extremely important, and most new entrepreneurs don't know where to start. There are many factors that come into play. What type of entity will you be? A corporation or LLC? The entity you choose is important of how you would minimize your taxes while protecting your assets. I take the guess work out of this important decision. I look closely into my client's business model to determine what risks the client faces and what can be done to minimize those risks. My job is to educate them and protect them. No one can be an expert in every area of taxes and compliance. That is why I have built up a network over the years of attorneys, brokers, etc. who have expertise to complement my own work so business owners can have confidence that all their major challenges have been identified and there is a plan in place to cope with them. The key is to anticipate and be proactive, not just reactive. Plan for taxes as well as prepare and file returns, identify insurable risks and determine compliance requirements before an accident or audit, make sure there is an adequate succession plan before there is a change in ownership. I am also on the Board of Directors of the Venture Hub, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in Chicago. The Venture Hub is a business incubator/accelerator that assists entrepreneurs create their own business as well as provide strategic planning services and back office support to existing ones. Some of the firms it serves are in economically distressed communities and worked with the disabled. My clients can take advantage of the support of consultants with decades of experience.
