Introduction: We play year-round in and around Chicago, Illinois. During weekdays, we all have day jobs that we'd all love to quit one day. We meet for practice as often as we can. Sometimes, we meet 3 or 4 nights a week, and we were always learning new songs. Above all, our interest is to enjoy performing some of our favorite songs to an appreciative audience. We love playing our entire repertoire, and we take pride in our passion to present our listeners with authentic, close-to-the-original sounding presentations. Music, as an art, is our passion and lifelong interest. Boom Shakalaka is a Chicago based cover band that was formed in January 2008. In the band, we perform a variety of rock covers spanning the last 6 decades. We all have diverse musical interests, from blues to rock, pop, hip-hop and metal. In fact, we take pride that each member of the band also has original musical projects that are as diverse as our repertoire. The band can provide professional PA sound and can work with any venue's existing setup. Boom performs with top-of-the-line instruments and equipment.
