Hello. My Name is Shameika, a licensed hairstylist. I am located at City Cuts, 2611 W. Ogden, and I am available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I specialize in caring for the hair and making it as healthy as possible. I do cuts, color, chemical services, braids, children styles and glue ins.
You will be charged for travel if I come to you which is a dollar per mile. Some prices will be set after consultation. I have to know the length and healthiness of your hair.
Below are my rates:
* Relaxers: $60 and up
* Cut For Women: $40
* Cut For Men: $20
* Cut For Children: $10
* Shampoo, Blow Dry and Style: $30 for short, $35 for medium length, $50 for long and $70 for natural
* Just Up Do: $100 and up
* Rodding: $65 for full and $50 for partial
* Glue-In Weaving: $35 through the hair and $45 for full head
* Sew-In Weaving: pricing after consultation
* Perms: pricing after consultation
* Pedicure: $45 (travel only)
* Manicure: $40 (travel only)
* Individual Lashes: $30 (lasting for two weeks)
* Makeup Application: pricing after consultation

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Don't hire someone solely because their prices are low. When it comes to your hair you need someone that will give you something you desire without messing you up. You need someone that will care for your hair as if it was their own. That's me!
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. You can't just go in the store and buyany shampoo for your hair. You have to know what you are lacking and go from there. You could be causing more damage to your hair with just shampooing and conditioning.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. When it comes to my clients I provide extremely professional and meticulous work. I want my clients to feel as great and as beautiful as possible. Everyone is an individual so everyone's hairstyle is customized.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The love I have for this profession is unbelievable. I am extremely passionate about my work. I value my clients the most. They allow to have fun with my work. Without my clients I am nothing that's why I give them my all everytime.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How do I decide with my client what style would be best for them? I tell them I find out what a person does for a living?, if my client has children and if so what are their ages?, Do they excercise often?, Are their mornings busy or not?, etc.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. I did an invisible part full weave, cut, and style which took two hours and cost 215. It came out gorgeous. My client was extremely pleased. She went to work and gained me three more clients. I love it.
