FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have an hourly rate but I also have package deals as well. Just ask me about the 6, 8, or 12-week package deals. Online or in-person but the online is cheaper.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If the customer is a beginner, they need to schedule not just time for the classes but time for practicing after the class is over that day. They shouldn't wait until the next class to start the homework. They should practice, practice, PRACTICE on their own until the next time. Learning anything new is memorizing the steps and what goes next as you add on new features. What I've noticed is potential clients only wanting "1 hour" in their descriptions. However, in the first few lessons, I tell my clients to block out 2 hours because there are a lot more questions than time. It flies by very quickly and the next thing you know, you're saying good-bye at the end. I've never been able to teach for just 1 hour and leave, that's rare. It usually starts with the client requesting 1 hour until we sit down and they discover just how many questions they had hidden. That's when they discover 2 hours flew by and they learned a lot more than expected. If you're intermediate or advanced, show me what you did and what you need to do.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a computer instructor and I continue to practice every day. Like Michael Jordan who would continue to practice for 2 hours or more after a game, I too continue to practice even though there is always new software around the corner. I look for books and read as much as I can because you can never have enough information on software.
