Introduction: We are more energetic and laughing is the key to keep the class going! Its good to be technical but at the same time you want to be relax and understand what is being taught to you. I love to see when students get the combination down, quickly meaning that I am doing my job to the upmost satisfaction. Also when the students call me and tell me that they went to a party and everyone was bragging about how good they are. That makes me proud!

First and foremost let me start by saying that I consider it an honor and my pleasure to write a testimonial about Mr. Rick Mangram and the Hoton1salsa team. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Mangram about a year ago March, I was looking for an instructor that was not only giving private lessons but that had a place that I could feel comfortable enough to attempt and participate in the dance of salsa; I have always had a desire to learn Salsa, but never had the time or wherewithal to allow myself to try my hand. As I approach retirement and freeing up a busy work life I decided that it was time. That being said, I contacted Rick, and from the moment it has been an uphill and most pleasant experience. From the time I met Rick a year ago to present, I not only take private lessons from Rick once but some weeks twice a week, I attend most if not all the Hoton1salsa events and will continue with my attendance. When I am unable to attend it is due to my work schedule. I have attended many events by others and I find that Hoton1salsa events are without fail the best act in town, both city and suburbs. Notwithstanding Ricks professionalism , his dancing skills and teaching abilities the next most impressive quality that Rick has is his and his teams ability to make every person in the house feel that they are special and welcome, no one person goes without Rick, and his team knowing your name and showing you the Hoton1salsa love to quote Rick this is what we do this is shown by all of the team members, from greeting you at the door, to his dance partners assisting in the group lessons, as well shown by the DJs greeting you with warmth, let me not forget Rick simply taking time during the night to dance with any and all that ask, Rick is never too busy to assist a dancer with questions, a dance pattern or a dance. His energy level is amazing! The next impressive quality that Rick and his team has is their ability to host Date Night with your Kids, and have the kids thoroughly enjoy the night and learning to dance salsa, Rick and his team is equally as compassionate and understanding with the kids as they are with adults. Rick and company is positive, upbeat and most welcoming, I start my week with the Hoton1salsa team. I cannot say enough about Rick and his team they have changed my life with their smiles, love for salsa and compassion. Let me not forget because of Rick and his team I am on my way to learning and becoming a salsa dancer! Mr. Rick Mangram and the Hoton1salsa team exemplify the words friendliness, love of dance, excellence and professionalism.

I was referred to Rick and I am so glad. He is one of the most friendly, inviting, and professional people that I have met. I am a property manager and he came to the site to teach a lesson to my participating residents. It was FABULOUS. The residents loved him so much, he is coming back again this month.

I've taken numerous salsa workshops with Rick. I have also taken his classes previously at Zocalo and currently at Patron's Hacienda in Chicago. Rick is a fun, outgoing, and very caring salsa teacher. He takes lots of pride in his students and goes to lengths to make all feel at ease and enjoy themselves on the dance floor. Other than his great dance abilities, he has a remarkable sense of humor; he'll have you laughing nonstop!
