- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My price for a basic clean is $39.00 for an office up to 3000 square feet in size. Semi annual and annual deep cleans or carpet cleans are extra and negotiated based on the area and special work needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I attend networking events for women entrepreneurs and send out mass emails to local businesses. Websites like Thumbtack are great for growing professionals who own their own business.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got a degree in business and spent a long time working in corporate America. I got restless after a while and decided to utilize collaborative consumption to market myself for odd jobs to make extra money. I found that cleaning jobs kept popping up and I thought, well, what have I got to lose. I have always liked cleaning but never thought of doing it full time. I got a few cleaning jobs and my customers were very happy and somewhat surprised at the great job that I did. So, I thought, why not do this full time because it is something that I enjoy doing. After that, The Mop Club was born and here I am.
