FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a standard rate of $500 for the first five hours including one hour arrival before start time, equipment set up and post party take down. Travel distance and additional equipment may cost extra. However, I try to work with my clientele's budget because I know what it's like on the other side of the counter. I just ask to be fair. We DJ's gotta eat too.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet my new clients, have coffee or a couple of beers and chat about business to see if the chemistry is right.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Columbia College for broadcast journalism/radio/television production, Triton College for mass communications (even worked as a news announcer for their radio station one semester) and school of life. Meaning my father was a jazz buff collecting records, friends were musicians or DJs, music was always in the household.
