Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do not be afraid to call and ask questions. We are here to help! Be as specific as possible--since we are providing services for your money, it's extremely helpful if you have some ideas about what you would prefer.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. The smaller your project, the more per square foot you'll probably spend. If possible, aggregate all the little things you want done and make a list. We charge very little if small items are done alongside a big project. You can save quite a bit of money that way.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask for references. Ask the reference what they liked about the professional.
Understand that good work involves more time but ultimately pays off because it lasts. If you chase the lowest price the higher quality professionals will not work for you. Many customers end up regretting cost-based decisions.
The service professional must be able to explain why a service is necessary. He must be able to explain what should happen if his recommendation is not followed or is followed. Do not just accept everything "recommended". There is no reason to buy any service if there is no additional benefit in having it performed.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Determine what they want and provide measurements if possible. We will guide them in any case, but it helps if they come prepared.
Compile a list of things to present to all contractors. Alter that list if a contractor points out something you did not know and you think it makes sense. With that list, you'll have the same point of reference and will not have misunderstandings.
