I needed a tutor to revive some of my college French in preparation for a trip abroad. Jeanette was the perfect lady for the job! We spanned our sessions over the entire summer, between which I could study what she suggested. She helped me target specific errors and was always prepared with concise written material to explain them. She made lessons fun - helping me practice my conversation skills with interesting topics and often introduced me to songs and humorous videos. I really appreciated that she was flexible on meeting via Skype or in person. I feel way more prepared for my vacation and hope I will be able to continue our meetings when I come back! Jeanette was absolutely wonderful! She presented material in a very thoughtful manner, giving me a great base for my 3 months abroad. I came to her as a beginner and was reading dialogues by the end of our seven sessions. I would recommend her to anyone looking to learn French!

I tutored with Jeanett to prepare for my semester abroad in Aix en Provence. I've been studying french for 6 years but still feel conversationally inadequate a lot of times. Jeanett helped me realize specific areas I need to focus on as well as routine ways to get my mind in French-mode: changing my phone system to French, reading the news in French, listening to songs, watching films, etc. While she was incredibly kind, she did not baby me. Most people tell me "it'll all click once you get there, don't worry." But thankfully Jeanett taught me that it is extremely important to practice and listen as much as possible. Thank you for your help, Jeanett!!
