Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask questions. Make sure the company can fully explain how their process works and what steps they go through.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. For the past twelve years I've had the chance to learn from one of the best finishers in the buisness. I have been trained with the methods and reasons of the past and blended them with the things I have learned with the new products of today.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Restoring A piece that has alot of memories to a family. When they see how I've brought back that old luster it makes it worth it.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Will refinishing a piece take away it's value? A: The value is in the eye of the beholder. If you are planning on selling to an antique dealer than yes it will. I have the mindset that the value is what you make of it.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. The amount of time it takes to take a piece and hand strip it and the process that follows. What we do is a very detail oriented profession and takes alot of time to be done right.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. While I was dating my wife, her father who has 56 years of experience asked me if I would like to work one day because he was short a guy. Like all good men wanting to make a good impression I said yes.

Q. What are your most common types of jobs?

A. One of my largest customers is a warranty company so I perform all sorts of small repairs and cleanings.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Leave your markers at home and be prepaired to learn the old way because it truely is the only right way.
