Established 2001, J & J Home Remodeling is a father-and-son small business, based in the great city of Chicago. We offer our service to the greater Chicago land and its surrounding suburbs.
We know and do all phases of construction; full-kitchen, bathroom, basement remodeling at a great price. We also offer handyman service. No job is too small or too large. The job is done right from start, all the way through the end. We are very detail-oriented.

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Bathroom renovations, Basement Finishing... But we enjoy all the big projects as well as the small ones; like changing out a faucet, new light fixtures installed.We love all our handy man work.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Make sure they are trustworthy, that you check out references. Hopefully some one you know has refer this person to you.
That they listen and do what you want after all you are the one thats going to live with end product.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My work stands out reasons being that we here at J & J Home Remodeling are very detail oriented. We do the work as if it was for our very own home. Take Pride and joy in the project we take on and complete.
Highest quality results are a matter of personal pride with me. Since I am a self-employed tradesman with 18 years experience, doing the actual hands-on work myself, I can deliver on my promises without reliance on anyone else. Since beauty is only skin-deep, what is below and behind the finished surfaces (substrates, infrastructure, etc.) receives as much detailed attention as what is visible upon completion. This may go unappreciated but guarantees lasting, problem free results.Knowing what I have created will last for generations to come.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The whole building scenario. I enjoy turning nothing to something. I love seen the faces of my clients when the project is done. I would guess its about the process of creativity and seeing the fruits of my labor and ingenuity. Creating something that did not exist before and knowing I have satisfied a real need for my clients in the most efficient and aesthetically pleasing way.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Can we go green?? YES You can, Helping out the environment is our duty. We must try to save the earth from our destruction.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. That everyone thinks they can do it but it takes a pro to do it right. I started out at the bottom, work my way up on my skill level. It took time and plenty of dedication to have the knowledge I have obtain.
Keep in mind that you get what you pay for.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I started working while in high school. I would work in the summer with my father in the company he be working for at the time. I was doing all the grunt work: digging trenches, moving materials, clean up. In the long run I started learning the traits from well qualify individuals. I finally told my father to branch out on our on. J & J Home Remodeling is born.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. We did a 16' x 24' ft Pergola for a Chicago Public school. I enjoy it because it was done for the kids.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Yes I'm currently enroll in an electrical course. It is just to brush up and learn new system that are outer there. My next course will be a plumbing.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. We want work with solar panels. Installing them in homes across Chicago. Using our natural resource like the sun. Might even want to do wind power too. In reality we want to turn more Eco friendly construction.
