I am changing people's view of contractors.

I am a small contractor, whose primary focus is customer satisfaction, honesty and a job done to the best of my abilities, without cutting corners.

I always tell every prospective client that I can paint a beautiful picture about my company, but nothing speaks more than actual client referrals and recommendations. I have tons of pictures for you to view my work upon request. I work with residential and commercial property owners, as well as general contractors and property managers. I can help you prepare your property for resale or new renters.

My personal mission is to make your remodeling experience one that you will be completely satisfied with and remember for the life of your home. I look forward to being there for you, above and beyond what you might expect from most contractors.

My goal is to give you more than your money's worth in the quality of work, level of communication and integrity I strive for in everything I do. Let me bring to life your kitchen, bathroom and remodeling dreams.

    To Whom it May Concern:
This letter is in support of John Mackenzie and Affordable Renovations.
I recently had my kitchen and bathroom totally remodeled. John and his crew did a wonderful job. I couldn’t believe how fast the work progressed, before I knew my old kitchen cabinets were gone and the floor was torn out. John did most of the work himself with help from his crew. They removed the old wall paper, cabinets, counters and floors and replaced with new.

Once the kitchen was done the immediately began the demolition on the bathroom, again everything was done professionally and efficiently. They installed 6 lights in the living room ceiling. When I saw all the holes in the ceiling created by the work, I thought it would never look the same, but when john was finished with the patching, you can’t even tell where the holes were. I have to mention, when I didn’t have a place to wash the dishes John was nice enough to wash the dishes in the tub for me, which was not expected.

My brother, who is an artist and had his own Home built not too long ago, was impressed with how well everything was done and in a relatively short period of time.

I would recommend his services to others and would definitely use him again.

    Sincerely,

    Therese Turnipseed, Consumer

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure you do you your homework. Check for references make sure they have pictures of current and past work.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. To save money always ask your contractor if they would go with you to pick out materials. Most contractors will mark up materials 30% and up. I always have my clients buy their own materials and I deliver @ no charge.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. They should think about whats important to them.
Did the other contractors reviewed really get to know you and what it is that would make you happy. ie. kitchen cabinets. Do you do alot baking? maybe you need special draws for you baking trays or maybe you really enjoy wines? How about some really cool wine cubbies and maybe you can also incorporate a really nice wine glass racks.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Well I was in the catering industry for 20 years before i got into construction field 10 years ago. I like to say that I treat clients and my work with level of service i use to bring to catering. I try to anticipate what my clients needs are and put that before anything else.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The thing that mostly inspires and moves me is the end result. C'mon were talking about changing people’s lives. People are investing their hard earned money and time into their homes. People deserve to be treated with kid gloves. I enjoy watching client’s expressions when they see the final product.
