Nomee Creations has the best variety of event planning options. I am able to order custom invitations and thank you cards, specific to my event. You won't find these designs at the store so your event will have a personal touch. The invitations are the prelude to any great event. Once your guests receive the beautiful invite by Nomee Creations, they will know they are in for a spectacular occasion!

Nomee Creations was the perfect choice for my non-traditional baby shower. I was able to work closely with Nohemi to customize my invitations to fit the theme of my shower. Nohemi was very responsive and patient throughout the process. She listened to what I wanted and offered some great suggestions when I was uncertain about wording and information placement on the invitation. Nohemi was also very in touch with color schemes and with what works well together. I have received alot of wonderful feedback on the invitations from guests who thought the invitations were warm, original, and classy. I will definitely use Nomee Creations for other events in the future, and I will recommend Nomee Creations to friends and acquaintances interested in custom invitations.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Babyshowers and Birthdays, my invitations go from whimsical to classic so I really think they can work for everyone and with the ability to customize every bit of it, theres no limit.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be sure to give enough time for creating a mock invitation/samples for you to choose from. The time it takes to mock one up does not mean once finalized the order is complete.
Customer have to take into consideration the time for printing and assembling, which can be anywhere from 1-2 weeks AFTER final design is approved.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Colors, before you begin to look for any type of invite, customized or premade, always have a set color palette that fits what you want. This makes things soo much easier. I think 3 colors minimum gives plenty of room to play with when customizing, especially when working with layered invitations.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Invitations are customized to match the event. Colors, text and embelishments and even mailing envelopes.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love creating new things and keeping up with the trends, I also love watching the people I create the invitations for. Because after they receive them, when Ive done a great job, I dont even need the thank you once Ive seen the look. I can tell it's what they envisioned.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How long does it take to complete the invitations?
After a final design has been proofed and deemed final for printing and assembling; 1-2 weeks- depending on the details of the invitation as a reminder every aspect of the invite is hand cut and assembled.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. With Invitations when working with customized items, there are at times too many options. It is overwhelming for customers to decide between 50 things, so you have to be sure of what you want or only request the fewest samples I recommend no more than 3. If you do more than 3 I find you start to lose focus of what you initially like in an invitation.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I went to school for interior design, but I've always loved personalizing holidya cards and sending out unique party invitations for my friends and children. So I remembered what a friend once told me "You will one day own your own card store" and I figured why not use those words as encouragement and my creativity to create invitations and cards people would use as keepsakes not just as a piece of paper with information.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I had a customer request a Baby Shower invitation with specific colors, but they did not want their invite to SCREAM Baby Shower. I decided to keep it classic and contemporary with only using a hint of baby shower influence, which turned out to be the footprints. It really turned out to be one of my favorite invitations. Babyshowers are for a mom having a baby, and the invitation really focused on it being an adult party; which is what they asked for. (you can see a sample of it above-look for the footprint)

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I read a lot on current colors and honestly I tend to research wedding trends for the most part, I find wedding colors invoke a lot of whats in right now, I do plan on going back to school to complete graphic design classes- hopefully within the next 5 years.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Pricing varies from invitation to invitation. It all depends on how much detail someone would like to have incorportated on an invitation. Pricing can be from the simplest at $0.75 an invite to $4.00 an invite. I will always quote an estimate before you have to make a decision. Some samples require a deposit, but it will be credited toward your invitation total.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Love to be creative, thats about all you need.
