We are cultivating your body, mind & spirit. My name is Kat Barber, LAc. I have a Master's in Science in Acupuncture from Bastyr Univeristy in Kenmore, WA and a Master's in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. I am a nationally board certified Acupuncturist (NCCAOM), licensed by the state of Illinois. I received additional training in Chronic Fatigue management, HIV/AIDS support, and addiction and recovery. I completed a 2 year, post-graduate clinical integration mentorship, The Inner Tradition of Chinese Medicine & Advanced Chinese Pulse Diagnosis, with renowned Five Element Acupuncture scholar, author & teacher, Lonny Jarrett. I utilize both Traditional Chinese Medicine & Five Element constitutional diagnosis in my practice & treatments which help facilitate an individual's healing & wellness. My services include Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, essential oil therapy & nutritional advice to patients in the greater Chicago area. In addition to treating a wide variety of health conditions, which include women's health, digestive problems, insomnia, headaches and upper respiratory conditions, I specialize in the treatment of chronic pain management (low back, joint, neck & shoulders) & emotional disorders (stress, anxiety, PTSD & depression).
