Introduction: I have 38 years experience in construction as a general contractor. Contractor experience makes for a better inspector. I also belong to the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Members are required to complete more hours of continued education than other Associations which makes for a more qualified inspector. Only 40% of applicants pass the INTERNACHI entrance exam and only 10% of those are able to meet the continued education requirements.
