Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The one secret I can share is get the lighting right. Put a lamp in a dark corner. Change all of your light bulbs in the house to the same manufacturer, and brand name. I suggest GE Reveal because it shows the property in the best light. This includes ceiling light fixtures too. Most current light bulbs throw an ugly yellow cast to the room and CFL bulbs are the worst. And get the highest wattage allowable for your fixtures, people buy bright spaces.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Our Goal is simple: To Maximize a home selling potential, in order to sell in the shortest amount of time. We stage a home to provide a warm feeling that attracts buyers and creates a Wow factor.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I not only like my job, I love my job. There is not a better feeling than having a property sell and being thanked by the client who recognizes the importance of staging.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Question: How much does staging cost? You can look to spend .5% - 3% to update and stage your home. The determining factors are: amount of furnishings needed, how much home repairs are needed, exterior work for curb appeal, and any updating of interior fixtures. The longer you have lived in a property the more work that will need to be done to get the home updated.
