Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We are mostly an on location service provider for brides on their wedding day. But we also are commissioned to do film, tv, runway and editorials.

Our makeup studio is seeing a huge explosion in makeup lessons to everyday women. We are so thrilled to be sharing our trade secrets so women can become masterful with their own makeup bags.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be sure the work they show you is their own. So many new and upcoming makeup artists buy "stock" photos and use them in their promotional materials. In this business there is no shortcut and artists who take shortcuts generally are not in business long. Be sure they are trustworthy, dependable and have the credentials you seek.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. All of our makeup artists have a professional makeup artistry background. Our work has been seen in magazines, print, tv and film and most of us have a celebrity clientele.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We love making new friends!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do we travel to the client's location for services? A: yes!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I'm an artist and could never sit behind a desk all day!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. All of our artists do mandatory quarterly education in some way. We love to learn as it makes us better artists & stylists. A new technique or a new advance cosmetic procedure all makes us very knowledgable about our craft and industry as a whole.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. The chemistry and R&D for makeup products are mind blowing. Makeup of today is so much nicer than even 5 years ago. Textures and formulas are improving every day and small brands are able to compete with the big global brands. It's very exciting to a small makeup line like us!

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Be willing to pay your dues. There is no shortcut to success.
